With the removal of the Electoral Role as a marketing tool and source of Goneaway information, it is more essential than ever before to use the Goneaway Suppression file for all consumer mailings.
The Goneaway Suppression File is formed from a number of major mailing companies, pooling their resources. There is a check though to ensure that people truly have moved and three different goneaways must be received, by different parties in order for the name to be registered on the GAS.
You may also wish to remove details of those people known to be Bereaved.
